From Coach Nardiello: Under threat of rain, and light rain across the 1st four innings, our Engineers toughed-out a 6-2 win over the Warriors of Curtis High School. This was one to build on — some of our younger talented players stepped up. Pitching was solid as soph Jake Rapoport (3 IP, 7K, H, 0 ER, 0 BB) had a superb 1st game of the season for the win. Freshman Jadon Renert supported him very well (4 IP, 5K, 2 H, ER, BB) to earn the save. The offense was outstanding with 12 Hits in 6 turns at bat—paced by Hugo Tosler (2-3, 3B, R), Sawyer Reo (2-2, RBI, 2B, BB), Jackson Janes (2-3, 2B, R, RBI) and Aayan Ramamurthy (2-3, R, RBI). We walked 4x and only 3 strikeouts.
